Thursday Review: Headwaters of History Blog

Thursday Review: Headwaters of History Blog

There's a new fishing history blogger in town...

And I couldn't be more excited about it! His name is Dr. Samuel Snyder and he's currently a post-doc at the National Sporting Library in Virginia. Sam is an expert on the subject of fishing history and is currently researching the connection between fishing and conservation. I cannot tell you how important (and overlooked) this subject matter is.

Sam has access to a huge amount of material and he has crafted a wonderful blog called Headwaters of History. This blog has tremendous promise and already has made some really terrific posts on such subjects as Thomas Barker's Early Instructions, Aldo Leopold, and the connection between angling and beer.

I believe this is an absolute must-read for anyone interested in fishing, conservation, and fishing history. I think it will be one of those "stop by every day" kind of blogs, the kind that you won't want to miss a single day because you'll be behind the learning curve if you do.

So kudos to Sam and the Headwaters of History blog! Long may it continue to educate us all on the history of fishing and conservation.

You can access the Headwaters of History blog by Clicking Here.

Thanks for the review and kind words. I am delighted with the work and look forward to many conversations and (hopefully) collaborations with Fishing for History.
Cheers and Tight Lines
